Elaine Kosanovich Nassif, 76, of McMurray, passed away with family by her side on Saturday, May 21, 2022.

She was born August 2, 1945, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late George and Helen Zelletz Kosanovich.

Elaine was a graduate of South High School. She received her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and her master’s degree in education from Duquesne University. She spent many years teaching mathematics in both Baldwin and Canon-McMillan School Districts. Elaine also taught Adult Education Technology at Washington & Jefferson College and was a member of the faculty at Western Center.

Elaine was a very proud mother and grandmother. She never missed her children’s sporting activities and prided herself on her love of family and friends.

She is survived by a daughter, Ann (Michael) Latinovich; a son, Jim (Aimee) Nassif; and six grandchildren, William, Samuel and Alexander Latinovich and Ella, Austin and Liliana Nassif.

Friends and family are welcome from 2 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Beinhauer Funeral Home, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray (724-941-3211). Additional visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Cathedral, 450 Maxwell Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. Interment in St. George Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Elaine’s memory may be made to the church.
