Leala Lorraine Roadman
Leala Lorraine Roadman, 85, of Avella, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022, in her son John and Lori’s home.
She was born on March 31, 1937, in Avella, a daughter of the late John and Mary Cunningham Adams.
Leala was a 1955 graduate of Avella High School and attended Penn Commercial.
She was a hardworking mother of five, who was very dedicated to her family. After raising her children, she worked as an interpreter/tour guide for Meadowcroft Rockshelter and Historic Village and then was the gift shop manager from 1983 until retiring in 2017.
Leala was a member of Lower Buffalo Presbyterian Church.
She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and was famous for her glazed donuts and pies.
Leala was the last of her immediate family.
On June 28, 1957 she married Robert E. Roadman Sr., who passed away on December 24, 2002.
Surviving are a daughter, Judy Magon of Avella; three sons, John (Lori) Roadman of Claysville, Bill (Paula) Roadman of Wellsburg, WV and Sam (Victoria) Roadman of Raleigh, NC; six grandchildren, Mallory (Mike) Guinn, Alyssa, Lauren, Jared Magon and his fiancee Amelia, Carter and Vivianne Roadman; three great- grandchildren, Caroline, Shayla and Priscilla; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to her husband of 44 years and her parents are, a son, Robert E. Roadman Jr.; and six sisters; Gertrude Buck, Olive Buck, Janet “Peg” Kepka, Madeline Sickles, Harriett Patterson and Elaine Porter.
Friends and family will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday May 25, in the Jerome A. Stefkovich Funeral Home Inc., 18 Campbell Street, Avella, PA 15312. Additional visitations will be held on Thursday, May 26, in the Lower Buffalo Presbyterian Church, 335 Campground Road, Avella, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. the time of the service, with Fran Skariot officiating.
Burial will be in Independence Cemetery, Avella.
