Donna Lou Brown
Donna Lou Brown, 77, of Jefferson, died Saturday, May 21, 2022.
She was born December 19, 1944 in Monongah, W.Va., a daughter of the late Wilford G. and Edith “Pauline” Petrucci Watkins.
Donna was a registered nurse with a BSN and had worked at the former Southwest Regional Medical Center, Waynesburg.
She was very active in her community as a former Judge of Elections in Jefferson Township #1, a long time Jefferson-Morgan School Board member, Career Technical Center board member and past president, PTO member and past president, band boosters former member and past president, Emergency Management Agency member and officer, Girl Scout leader and the Jefferson Volunteer Fire Company.
On August 24, 1964 she married, Leon A. Brown, who died in 1979.
Surviving are four children, Shelly L. Brown (Dan Elkins) of Hanover, Catrina L. (Richard) Kubasik of Jefferson, James L. (Marilyn) Brown of Dallas, Ga., Charles A. Brown (Jonna Knapik) of Clarksville; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, James D. “Sonny” Watkins of Proctor, W.Va.
Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, in the Behm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, PA 15344, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor.
A Jefferson Volunteer Fire Company Service will be held in the funeral home at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
