Richard “Rick” Holt, 71, of Brownsville (Low Hill), died unexpectedly at home on Monday, May 23, 2022.

He was born Friday, July 28, 1950 in Brownsville, a son of the late Robert and Gloria Landman Holt.

Rick loved cars, NASCAR, his family, the Steelers, and his two fur babies, Ruby and Gizzy, in no particular order.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Holt of Orlando Florida.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 52 years, Denise “Denny” Holt; two children, Chad Holt and wife Angela of Shinnston, W.Va. and Christy Bayles and husband Danny of Low Hill; six grandchildren: Hunter Bayles, Ryan Holt (Desirae Brumley), Ashley Holt, Hannah Bayles, Lex Mays (Logan), and Conner Robe; also surviving are two great-grandchildren, Luke Holt and Rowan Mays; and his sister-in-law, Elaine Holt.

Friends will be received in the Mariscotti Funeral Home, Inc., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, from noon to 2 p.m. on Wednesday May 25, 2022. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dawn Hargraves officiating.

Interment will follow in Westland Cemetery.
