William W. Buckels Jr.
William W. Buckels Jr., 81, of Sycamore, formerly of Washington, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2022, with his family at his side.
He was born August 26, 1940, in Canonsburg, a son of the late William W. and Catherine Cushman Buckels.
Mr. Buckels worked for the former Federal Paper Board in Washington for 20 years and retired as the grounds keeper for the Beth Israel Synagogue in Washington where he had worked for 20 years.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge #3000 in Washington and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
Surviving are two sons, Brandon W. Buckels and his wife Bessie of Sycamore and Shawn R. Buckels and his wife Heather of West Alexander; three grandchildren, Brandon, Jacob and Emma Buckels; a sister, Janice Moore of Port Angeles, Washington; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two sisters, Nancy Embrey and Kathleen Ferson.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Ave., Houston, PA 15342, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 26, 2022. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
