John Paul Dellorso Jr.
John Paul Dellorso Jr., 87, of Eighty Four, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 24, 2022, in Washington Hospital. He was born December 25, 1934, in Canonsburg, a son of the late John and Sophie Skittle Dellorso.
Mr. Dellorso proudly served with the United States Army in the Korean War and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 191 and its Honor Guard.
John was involved in custom woodworking and along with his late wife, owned San-Del Kitchens for many years prior to his retirement.
He was a member of St. Oscar Romero Parish at St. Patrick Church.
John enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and crossword puzzles, but mostly loved spending time with his family.
On March 9, 1959, he married Virginia Sickles, who passed away May 5, 2017, after 58 years of marriage.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his devoted children: son, John Paul Dellorso III and wife Vida of Eighty Four, and daughters, Jaqueline “Jackie” Milbower and husband Fran of Mason, Ohio, and Rebecca “Becky” L. Diamond and husband John of Washington; his beloved grandchildren, Jamie (Melissa) Milbower, Beth Dellorso, Katie Milbower, Michael Dellorso, Breck and Jesse (Megan) Diamond and Max Dellorso; great-granddaughters, Sophia, Audrey and Isabelle Milbower; brother, Dominic Dellorso; sister, Dolores (Dolly) Vollmer; sister-in-law, Barbara Dellorso; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his wife and parents, is his brother, Matthew Dellorso.
Friends and family are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 27, in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra LFD, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where a Catholic blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 28. Interment, with Full Military Honors by the VFW Post 191 Honor Guard and the United States Army, will follow at 11 a.m. in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to St. Jude Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
