Vivian Lee Kurtz
Vivian Lee Kurtz, 86, of Washington, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, May 28, 2022.
She was born August 13, 1935 in Washington, a daughter of the late Howard and Ann Andrews Sutherland.
Mrs. Kurtz was a 1954 graduate of Trinity High School.
She retired from Nello Teer, where she had worked as the office manager.
Vivian enjoyed spending time with her loving husband of over 65 years, their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Kurtz loved tending to her beautiful flower gardens, feeding the birds, and seeing the wildlife that comes to their backyard. She had many artistic hobbies, including ceramics, sewing and painting. Vivian was also active volunteering in church activities and taught bible school.
On July 14, 1956, she married the love of her life, Richard F. Kurtz, who survives.
Also surviving are three children, Bruce R. (Sheri) Kurtz, of Washington, Tracie Lindsay, of Washington, and Tamara “Tammy” (Chris) Heath, of Washington; six grandchildren, Christopher (Shelby) Heath, Taylor, Morgan and Brent Kurtz, Jessica Lindsay, and Connor (Samantha) Lindsay; and four great-grandsons, Bryson Hillen, Beckham and Krew Lindsay, and Hunter Heath.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, are two brothers, Howard Sutherland, Jr., and Charles Sutherland.
At the request of the deceased, all services will be private.
