Alberta Perkins
Alberta J. Perkins, 92, of Bentleyville, passed away Friday, November 11, 2022, in Evergreen Assisted Living, Washington.
She was born July 16, 1930, in Freeport, a daughter of the late Albert L. and Margaret Hartman Martin.
Mrs. Perkins was a 1948 graduate of Claysville High School and also attended Penn Commercial in Washington.
She was a secretary in the office of Dr. Abernathy for over 30 years and was also employed as a laboratory secretary in the Washington Hospital.
Alberta was a long time member of the Bentleyville United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed traveling, camping, sewing, crafts and spending time with her family.
Surviving are three children, Marty Perkins of North Charleroi, Jane Matthews (John) of Eighty Four and Bill Perkins (Leann) of Toronto, Ohio; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Elden Martin of Amherst, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is her husband, William “Harold” Perkins, who died in 1997; a granddaughter, Angel Jaye Matthews; a grandson, Lance McCombs; a sister, Laura B. Bruhn; two brothers, Oliver Martin and Raymond “Bud” Martin.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, in the Greenlee’s Bentleyville Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, where Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 17, 2022. Interment will be in Mon Valley Memorial Park.
