William T. Kuric

William T. “Bill” Kuric, 95, of Vestaburg, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2022, in Washington Hospital.

He was born October 23, 1927, in McKeesport, a son of the late Mike and Elizabeth Corodi Kuric.

Mr. Kuric attended Centerville High School and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was employed for over 20 years in the Vesta#5 coal mine and at McGraw Edison in Canonsburg for over 10 years. After his retirement he was a bartender at the American Legion Post #391 in Fredericktown.

Bill was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish, the U.M.W.A and the Hanson-Cole American Legion Post #391.

He enjoyed gardening, bowling, playing cards, traveling and was a wonderful father.

On November 19, 1949, he married Mary “Mickey” Koss, who survives. Together they celebrated 72 years of marriage.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, is a daughter, Kathy Potisek (Pete) of Fredericktown; three grandchildren, Shawn Messer (Kristi), Keara Welsh (Robert) and Christopher Messer (Hannah); two great-granddaughters, Braedon and Brooklyn Welsh; and several nieces and nephews. He was the last of his immediate family.

Deceased is an infant granddaughter, Kristen Messer; two sisters, Mary Kubicar and Dorothy Mowinski.

A graveside blessing service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, in Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill.
