Rose Marie Kastory
Rose Marie Kastory, 86, of Washington, passed away peacefully Friday, November 18, 2022. She was born May 26, 1936, in Sharpsburg, a daughter of the late George Martin and Josephine Daversa Kastory.
Rose was a graduate of Sharpsburg High School. She was employed as a telephone operator at Drakenfield from where she retired.
Rose was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, St. James Parish. She took care of her mother and uncle all of her life. Rose enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking, reading and helping others. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving are several cousins, many treasured friends and neighbors, and her beloved “Teddy”.
In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by a brother, George Kastory, who died in infancy; a brother, Joseph Kastory; and an uncle, Rebell G. Daversa.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, owner / supervisor, Holly Renay Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director, Park N. Crosier, director. A prayer service will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, November 23, in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church, St. James Parish, 119 W. Chestnut Street, Washington, with the Rev. George Chortos as celebrant. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
