James Jay Shefcheck
James Jay “Sheffy” Shefcheck, 74, of Rices Landing, went to be with his Lord Sunday, November 20, 2022.
James was born in Crucible December 14, 1947, to the late John and Anna Sabol Shefcheck. He graduated from Carmichaels High School in 1965.
He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the American Legion Post 400 in Carmichaels.
On June 19, 1971, he married Linda Blackington.
James retired from FTMSA in Murrysville, in 2010.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda Blackington Shefcheck; two sons, Kevin Shefcheck (Sandra) and Steven Shefcheck (Julia); four grandchildren, Abigail, Adam, Magdalene and Caroline Shefcheck; brother, Jack Shefcheck (Diana); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, in Behm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, PA 15344. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 23, in St. Marcellus Catholic Church, 1340 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, PA 15344. Interment to follow at Greene County Memorial Park in Waynesburg.
