Michael Turner
Michael Turner, 72, of North Versailles, died Thursday, November 24, 2022, surrounded by his loved ones.
Michael was born February 6, 1950, in Huntsville, Ala., to the late Mary Turner and Glenn Harris.
He graduated from S. R. Butler High School, and then went on to be a part of the transportation business as a truck driver.
In 1981, he married the love of his life, Victoria Mallory Turner, who survives.
Those who knew Michael knew him as “Muscle Mike”. He enjoyed working out and lifting weights, watching wrestling, and loved his sports, especially football. He was a huge Alabama Crimson Tide fan, and he’d tell you how he felt if you weren’t one, too. Michael loved his family. He never met a stranger and enjoyed talking to everyone he met.
Surviving, along with his wife, Victoria, are their son, Michael Turner of Washington; their two daughters, Alicia Turner (Robert) of Penn Hills and Tiffany Turner (Corey) of Wilkinsburg; his two sons, Donte Johnson (Sheena) of Carnegie and Antoine (Maria) Johnson of Carnegie; and two adopted daughters, Teresa Hairston of McMurray, and Cruz Galvan of Temecula, Calif. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandson; a sister, Mary Louise Jones; a brother, Walter Withers; and nephews, Adrain (Robin) Turner, Lionel (Angie) Turner, West (Heather) Jones and Timothy (Kesha) Jones.
Preceding Michael in death, along with his father, Glenn and mother, Mary, was a long-time best friend, Randolph Woods.
Family and friends will gather from 1 to 4 p.m., the time of a funeral service, Friday, December 2, with Pastor Joseph Wheeler officiating in his honor, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., Washington.
