Theresa Esther Gross

Theresa Esther Gross passed away peacefully, in her home in Anchorage, Alaska, Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at the age of 95. She was born March 13, 1927, to Louis and Rose Arena in Washington.
Theresa, known to most as Terri, grew up in Washington with her three brothers and two sisters. She graduated from Washington High School in 1946.
She married the love of her life, Frank Gross. They remained married for 52 years until Frank’s death in 2000.
Together they had three children, Larry, Terry and Connie, all of Anchorage.
Terri’s primary vocation was a homemaker. She worked at Hazel Atlas Glass Factory, Greif Brothers Packaging and The Washington Company in Washington.
Terri and Frank moved to Anchorage in June 1975. They drove the ALCAN Highway with daughter, Connie Rae, wonder dog, Tok, and a Maple Leaf Camper in tow.
Terri worked as a security guard at Anchorage International Airport in Anchorage, and continued her role as wife, homemaker, and mother, grandmother and eventually great-grandmother.
Terri was preceded in death by her father, Louis; mother, Rose; husband, Frank; brothers, Pat, Thomas and Dominic; sister, Mary Marasco; sisters-in-law, Betty Arena and Mary Lou Arena; and brothers-in-law, Eugene Marasco and James Wagner.
Terri is survived by her three children, Larry (wife, Robin), Terry (dog, Sophie) and Connie (husband, Tom); sister, Lois Jean Wagner; along with seven nephews, four nieces, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service and celebration of life for Terri was conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, in Muldoon Community Assembly Church, Anchorage.
