Richard F. Mohr Jr.
Richard F. “Rick” Mohr Jr., 64, of Washington, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, October 11, 2022. He was born August 7, 1958, in Washington, a son of Richard F. Mohr Sr. of Washington and Patricia A. Mohr of Ohio.
Mr. Mohr was a 1976 graduate of Trinity High School. He was employed at ATI (formerly Jessop Steel) as a crane operator for 28 years.
Mr. Mohr was a member of the Washington Barbell Club and he enjoyed lifting weights. He loved everything to do with sports and he enjoyed coaching and watching his children and grandchildren as they participated in various sports throughout the years. Mr. Mohr enjoyed the time he spent with his dog, Chesney and cat, Gracie and he recently started to enjoy kayaking. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and loved traveling with his wife to their many beach destinations. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
On August 7, 2021, he married Amy L. Mohr, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Brandon (Amanda) Lesko of Washington and Ethan Mohr of Washington; a daughter, Kara Martin of Canonsburg; two stepsons, Bobby (Larissa) Stienstraw of Cecil and Ryan Stienstraw of Bridgeville; a brother, Mark (Karen) Mohr of Canonsburg; two sisters, Vicki (Joe) Szopo of Ohio and Cathy (Dan) Kane of Ohio; and four grandchildren, Adria and Brooks Martin, and Braxton and Aiden Lesko. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Deceased is a nephew, Joey R. Szopo.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, October 14, in the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, owner/supervisor, Holly Renay Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director, Park N. Crosier, director. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 15, in the funeral home. Interment will be private.
