Mary Tarley

Mary “Mickey” Tarley, 83, of Bridgeville, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2022, in St. Clair Hospital.

She was born August 25, 1939, in Buckhannon, W.Va., a daughter of the late Charles and Mary Haymond Burr.

Mickey was a 1958 graduate of Buckhannon High School.

A homemaker, Mickey loved spending time with her family, and cheering along her grandchildren in sports. She lived a wonderful life, and was loved by everyone.

On November 26, 1959, she married the love of her life, John Tarley. They shared 63 years of marriage, which was unbreakable, and unshakable. It was a bond of love and respect few will ever match.

Surviving are four children, John Tarley Jr. (Sue) of Williamsburg, W.Va., Joe Tarley (Cindy) of Deemston, Tina Miller (Mark) of Clarksville, and Jerry Tarley (Connie) of Elkins, W.Va.; three siblings, Jim Burr of Adrian, W.Va., Martha Landis of French Creek, W.Va., and Joann Samples, also of French Creek; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are a daughter, Penny Tarley; and three brothers, Allen Burr, Martin Burr and Charles Burr Jr.

Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, October 20, in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, Ltd., 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, October 21, with Pastor Sheldon Barnette officiating. Interment will follow in Beallsville Cemetery.
