Barbara Naser Sacco
Barbara “Sis” Naser Sacco, 87, formerly of Washington, died Monday, October 24 at Canonsburg Hospital.
She was born December 19, 1934, the daughter of Ruth Alice White and John E. Naser.
Mrs. Sacco formerly worked at Hazel Atlas, Mellon Bank and as a cafeteria worker in the Washington School District for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dominic A. Sacco, who died February 18, 2013. Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Jack Naser and Howard Naser.
An avid and prolific reader, Mrs. Sacco is a member of the Washington High School Wall of Fame for her many years of service as a member of the Little Prexies’ athletic event staff as a ticket seller. She was inducted in 2004.
She also was a member of American Legion Post 175 and Alpine Star Club in Washington.
Mrs. Sacco loved to bowl, play cards and was a baker and sports enthusiast.
She is survived by her son, John (Marissa) Sacco of Monessen; and her daughter, Alice (Mark) Murphy of Washington, four grandchildren, Milana and Jack Sacco of Monessen, and John (Spencer) Murphy and Jay Murphy (Brie Lynn), both of Washington; and four great-grandchildren Paige, Hudson, Phillip and Harper.
There will be no public visitation at the request of the deceased and burial will be private in Washington Cemetery.
