James R. Furlage

James R. Furlage, 80, of Bentleyville, passed away October 25, 2022 in his home.

Born September 9, 1942, in Spangler, he was a son of the late Isadore and Mary Marcuzzo Furlage.

Survived by his wife, Susan Yurchick Furlage; stepson, Eric (Amber) Scicchitano, Ellsworth; stepdaughter, Renee (Doug) Kellerman, Bentleyville; grandchildren, Sarah and Tessa Scicchitano, Madison, Hailey and Noah Kellerman; and brother-in-law, Charles (Marilyn) Yurchick, Cokeburg.

Mr. Furlage was a coal miner and mechanic. He ran Groundhog Mining Company for many years. He enjoyed gardening, being in the outdoors, and fishing and hunting at his camp in Hastings.

Family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11 a.m. Saturday October 29, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Fr. Thaddeus Rettger, OSB, celebrant. Burial at St. Bernard Cemetery. Condolences may be made at HindmanFuneralHomes.com
