William Edward Redd

William Edward “Bill” Redd, 67, of Claysville, died Monday, September 26, 2022, in his home. He was born April 24, 1955, in Washington, a son of the late Edgar “Bud” and Betty L. Caldwell Redd.
He attended Bethlehem Center Schools.
Bill worked for over 20 years at Pliska’s Auto on Route 40 and then for Kilkeary’s Auto Body, from where he retired in 2018, after working there over 20 years. Bill taught Auto Body classes at the Western Area Vocational Technical School in Houston.
He attended Claysville Methodist Church. Bill loved his family. He was a member of Claysville American Legion and of the Moose.
In his younger years he enjoyed playing racquetball and tennis, as well as attending car races, fishing and camping.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Bobbie Fox Redd; children, Stephanie Redd, Anthony E. (Heather) Redd, Shalynn M. Redd (Tim); siblings, Edgar (Carol) Redd, Beverly (David) Crow, Marianne (Dave) Mason, Joe (Laurel) Redd; seven grandchildren, Sierra Price, Claire Redd, Lucas Price, Davis Redd, Aiden Straight, Sadie Straight, Dexter White; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are a son, Eric Corbley; and brother, Keith Redd.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 29, in the Nichol Funeral Home, 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 30, with the Rev. Steve Dunlap officiating. Interment will follow in Claysville Cemetery.
