Patricia Sickles
Patricia Ann Sickles, 78, of Slovan, formerly of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 1, 2023, in Canonsburg Hospital, with her devoted son by her side.
She was born October 9, 1944, in Canonsburg, daughter of the late Stephen and Susanna P. Petro Gonglik.
Patty was a graduate of Canon-McMillan Senior High School, class of 1962, was Roman Catholic, and lived in Slovan since 1980.
She received an associate’s degree from Robert Morris College and had been employed in product safety with Bayer Corporation for many years and prior to her retirement with Lanxess Corporation.
Patty enjoyed traveling around the world, cooking and gardening. She loved animals of all kinds, especially her dog, Sugar.
Left behind to cherish her memory, are her son, John P. Sickles and his wife, Kristine, of Moon Township; and her beloved granddaughters, Elizabeth, Emily and Molly Sickles.
Friends and family are welcome from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2023, in SALANDRA FUNERAL and CREMATION SERVICES, INC., Joseph P. Salandra, owner / supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where Catholic blessing services will be held at 6 p.m. with Father James Dowds officiating. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Patricia’s name may be made to the Washington Area Humane Society, 1527 PA-136, Eighty-Four, PA 15330.
