Richard J. Gibson

Richard “Hoot” J. Gibson, 77, of Harmony Township, formerly of Atlasburg, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023, with his family by his side, due to complications of lung cancer. He was a son of the late Ann Cherok-Hucik.

Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Flora Gibson; two children, Dawn Gibson and Clint (JamiePagasky) Gibson; and a granddaughter, Quinn Gibson.

Richard was a graduate of Burgettstown High School. He retired from Climax Molybedenum Company Processing Plant in Langeloth.

He was a member of the Burgettstown Fast Pitch softball league for over 20 years. Richard was an avid sportsman and loved the outdoors.

Services are private. Arrangements are entrusted to Alvarez-Hahn Funeral Services, Ambridge.
