Arthur G. Rush
Arthur G. Rush, 82, of Canonsburg, died Monday, April 10, 2023, in Canonsburg Hospital.
He was born February 26, 1941, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Cyrus and Ruth Roacranz Rush.
Mr. Rush was a 1960 graduate of Avella High School and a member of the Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church.
He was a veteran, having served with the U.S. Marine Corps from July 1960 until June of 1964.
Arthur worked for 12 years as a machinist for Ross Mould in Washington, retiring in 2005. He had also worked for Miller Machine Co. in Pittsburgh.
He enjoyed gardening, playing guitar and video games.
On May 29, 1970, he married Violet H. Kimberland, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Arthur J. Rush of Canonsburg; three nieces, Bonnie Bruening (Darren), Michelle Purlish (Rob) and Mary Wilkinson (Paul); two half-brothers, Timothy Rush and Gregg Rush; four great-nephews and two great-nieces.
Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 16, in the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342, where services will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, April 17, with the Rev. Don Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, with military honors by the U.S. Marine Corps.
