Albert Egnosak

Albert “Richard” Egnosak, 78, originally of Scenery Hill, died Sunday, April 9, 2023 in Morgantown, W.Va., after a brief illness.

He was born October 30, 1944, in Washington, a son of the late Albert and Irene Radzik Egnosak.

On November 22, 1966, he married Patricia Durdines Egnosak. They were married for 35 years until her passing in 2001.

Richard is survived by three children, Richard (Carolyn) Egnosak of Canonsburg, Ami Bruce (Shawn) of Cornwall, Ontario, and Kathy (Michael) Vash of Roscoe; five grandchildren, Noah and Mia Bruce of Cornwall, Ontario, and Grace, Jacob and Emma Vash of Roscoe.

Richard was the oldest of four siblings, and is survived by Edward (Shirley) Egnosak of Ellsworth, David (Frances) Egnosak and Janet Egnosak; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Richard was preceded in death by an infant son, Robert James Egnosak.

Richard was a 1963 graduate of California Area High School. He was employed for 18 years by Gross Furniture Company in Fredericktown. He retired from Sysco-Continental in Zelionople. He was a volunteer firefighter and member of the Richeyville Volunteer Fire Department as well as the Lithuanian Club in Ellsworth.

Richard spent his final years living in Grantsville, Md., with his companion, Ruth Swan. Richard will also be missed by Ruth’s daughter, Heather (Jon) Winebrenner and sons.

Private services will be held by the family, with a celebration of life to be held at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, Ltd., 2830 Main Street, Beallsville.
