Ralph H. Anderson
Ralph H. “Curly” Anderson, 83, of New Freeport, died Wednesday, April 12, 2023, in the Washington Hospital in Washington.
He was born October 6, 1939, in New Freeport, a son of the late Howard Anderson and Lena V. Whipkey Anderson Hennen.
Curly was a retired pipeliner. He was a member of the Laborer’s Local 1058 located in Pittsburgh. He was a Protestant by faith.
Surviving are his wife, Kay Montgomery Anderson; one daughter and her spouse, Christine Price and husband James “Red” of Uniontown; one sister and her spouse, Marcia Sterling and husband Larry of Holbrook; three grandsons, Bryan Watson of Jefferson, Aaron Watson of Waynesburg, and James “J. W.” Price of Uniontown; and two great-grandchildren, Maverick Watson and Bristol Watson of Jefferson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Terry Lee Anderson; and siblings, Doyle Whipkey, Helen Reed, Donnie Anderson, Frances Anderson and Beverly Cumberledge.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 14, in Tennant Funeral Home, 2678 Hornet Highway, Hundred, W.Va., where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 15, with Pastor Vernon Kay Berdine officiating. Interment will follow in the Thomas Cemetery near Ned.
