John C. O’Brien
John C. “Jack” O’Brien, 85, of South Fayette, formerly of Monroeville, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023.
He was the beloved husband of Nikki O’Brien for 39 years; son of the late Thomas and Jean Homer O’Brien.
He is survived by his daughters, Jackie (Scott) McDonald, Carolyn (Tom) Ferraro, and Michele (Bob) Stephens, and their mother, Patricia R. O’Brien. He was a cherished grandfather of Danielle (John) Scott, Benjamin McDonald, Lindsey Stephens, Christopher Stephens, and Mick Stephens; great- grandfather of Lincoln Scott; loving brother of Patrick O’Brien, Richard O’Brien, Peggy Dykstra, and the late Tom O’Brien; brother-in-law of Ruth O’Brien, Maureen O’Hare, David “Sonny” Gump, and the late Patricia Gump; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins, whom he loved very much.
Jack retired after working many years as a machine salesman for Gage Co. of Pittsburgh.
He was an active member of Bethany Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder.
He was an avid golfer and enjoyed his retirement by traveling, and cruising with his wife and cousins, Louis and Judy. Jack was a sweet and gentle soul, who adored his wife and the life they lived together.
Family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m., the time of services, Friday, April 21, in Bethany Presbyterian Church, 740 Washington Avenue, Bridgeville.
