Ralph R. Leis
Ralph R. Leis, 80, of Canonsburg, died Thursday, April 13, 2023.
He was born November 4, 1942, to Peter and Alberta Ragase Leis.
Ralph worked as a steelworker for Shenango and All Clad Metals.
On January 1, 1969, he married the love of his life, Maureen Simms Leis, who passed April 10, 2022.
Ralph loved working with his hands, remodeling houses, feeding the birds and loved all sweets – cookies and carrot cake were two of his favorites! He was an animal lover, especially his own cats, Buddy, Fuzzy, Madeline, Johan Polka Pants, Colena, Happy Cat and Sweetie Pie.
Ralph is survived by his son, Eric Leis of McMurray; daughter, Erin (Michael) Athey of Dormont; sister, Barbara Leis of Warren, Ohio; cousin, Lorraine Walters; sisters-in-law, Sharon Jordan and Kathy Wylie; brother-in-law, George “Larry” (Piera) Simms; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
A celebration of life will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., the time of a memorial service, Thursday, April 20, in Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, 724-746-1000. Burial will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg.
