Carol Sue Blayney

Carol Sue Blayney, of Peters Township, passed away, at the age of 81, Friday, April 21, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She is survived by her son, Timothy H. Blayney and wife Laurie of Johnson City, Tenn.; her daughter-in-law, Marisa L. Blayney of Eighty Four and her son, Philip K. Blayney and wife Marisa of Glenshaw. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Sean (Rachel), Dallas (Christa), Caitlyn, Madison and Noah; sister, Marilyn Beckenger of Washington; brother, Donald Warth (Judy) of Cumming, Ga., and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harold L. Blayney, in 2018; and her son, Steven W. Blayney, in 2019. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Norman C. Warth and Inez L. Ruckman Warth; and siblings, Orabelle, Norman, Bob and Betty.

Sue was an avid quilter and she even taught Harold to quilt after his retirement in 2006. She and Harold enjoyed road trips throughout the country to visit family and friends. Together, they raised three wonderful children and loved spending time with their grandchildren. The time she spent with family and friends will be cherished and she will be greatly missed.

Sue will be remembered for being a loving wife, an outstanding mother, and a compassionate friend.

Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, in Beinhauer Funeral Home, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 26. Interment in Forest Lawn Gardens Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
