Virginia S. Moore
Virginia S. Moore, 92, of Peters Township, peacefully passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023, in Paramount Senior Care in McMurray.
She was born in Pittsburgh, on March 3, 1931, to the late Frank and Nellie Shuntill.
She was the beloved wife of 68 years to the late Malcolm W. Moore.
Virginia graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutritional Science.
She was member of the former Century Club of Peters Township and the Chartiers Chapter 97 of Order of the Eastern Star. She was a loving mother and housewife, and volunteered her time at Canonsburg Hospital for over 35 years. She loved to read and was an avid bowler, belonging to a league for many years.
Virginia was the loving mother of David Moore, Sidney (Melissa) Moore and Carol (Michael) Salai.
She is survived by nine grandchildren: Timothy and Nicole Moore, Anthony (Olivia) Moore, Samuel Moore, Andrew Moore, Jacob (Sophie) Salai, Anna Salai, Renee Salai and Daniel Salai; and great-granddaughter, Winter June Moore.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Friday, April 28, 2023, at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546.
Burial with graveside service will follow at Center Presbyterian Church Cemetery, McMurray.
A memorial service will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at Center Presbyterian Church.
