Ray Charles Adams Jr.
Ray Charles Adams Jr., 74, of Harrisonburg, Va., formerly of Bentleyville, passed away Friday, August 11, 2023.
He was born July 11, 1949, a son of the late Ray C. Adams, Sr. who died July 5, 1980 and Sevilla “Turk” Ferguson Adams of Bentleyville, who survives.
Ray attended Bentleyville High School and Valley Forge Military Academy, and was a graduate of Penn State University, earning a degree in Hotel Management and Food Service.
He held many positions in hospitality including: Powhatan Resorts in Williamsburg, Va., the William Penn Hotel in Pittsburgh, the Massanutten Resorts in McGaheysville, Va. and the Playboy Club in California and Wisconsin.
He enjoyed golfing and hunting.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are two sons, Ryan and Zachary Adams; one uncle; and many cousins.
Deceased is a brother, Jeffrey Lee Adams, who died June 25, 1958.
