Darlene Kinkela Rubin
Darlene Kinkela Rubin, 78, of Slovan, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 1, 2023, in Florida, while visiting her family.
She was born June 20, 1944, in Washington, to the late John and Anna Esno Kinkela.
Darlene, to all who knew her, was a spunky, fun, loving and caring person who touched the lives of all who knew her. When you’d hear the word BINGO, you knew Darlene was around. She loved playing cards, spending time with friends, listening to music, and rarely missed an episode of “Let’s Make a Deal” and “The Price is Right”. However, the joy of her life was her grandchildren, whom she loved spending time with.
Darlene is survived by her sons, Marty (Karla) Ragan, and Ron (Paula) Ragan; grandchildren, Jessica, Marah, Cameron, Connor, Jenna and Jayden; and her great-granddaughters, Malia and Mirabella; and many nieces and nephews. All of these she loved and cared for deeply.
She is also survived by her loving life companion, Robert Grabski, who has made her last 17 years happy!
In addition to her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Gavazzi and Irene Mlatnik; brothers, John Kinkela Jr. and Dennis Kinkela; and granddaughter, Jasmine Ragan.
Friends are welcome for visitation from 1 to 6 p.m., the time of a service, Thursday, February 9, officiated by Pastor Angela Kress, in Young Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 23 Erie Mine Road, Burgettstown, PA 15021, 724-947-2049.
