Donald R. Morrison
Donald R. Morrison of Englewood, Ohio formally of Washington and the Claysville areas passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023.
Don was born on December 27, 1942, a son of the late Charles R. and Mary Morrison.
He is survived by his partner, Lynn Whaley of Vandalia, Ohio; his twin brother, John R. Morrison of Alpharetta, Ga.; his sister, Debbie (Gene) Kisner of Fairmont, W.Va., stepsons Matthew (Heather) Freeman of Dayton, Ohio, and Mark Freeman; and step- grandson, Jordan Freeman of Dayton; niece, Charlie Sexton of Fairmont, a special friend Dale Winner and family of Brookville, Ohio, and many cousins.
Don had many wonderful friends who loved and supported him and his family. To avoid omitting anyone, please know that the family could not have made this journey without your support.
Don was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Morrison; and a sister-in-law Lorna Morrison.
Don lived a great life, including living abroad, he graduated from Washington High School and received an Engineering degree from Penn State University which led him to a passionate career in Engineering at General Motors. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves and a volunteer firefighter with Randolph Township Fire Department.
Don was an avid lover of Corvettes, sports, and spending time with family and friends.
A special thanks to Hospice and the Brookdale staff at Englewood for the loving care they provided to Don.
Funeral services were held in Vandalia, Ohio on Monday, February 6, 2023. Entombment was at Calvary Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio.
