Robert Ridgely Coatsworth
Robert Ridgely Coatsworth, born December 12, 1945, in the Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 11, 2022, after a lengthy illness of Parkinson’s Disease and a stroke.
Bob was the only child to parents Donald and Virginia Ridgely Coatsworth of Donora. He was the only remaining person in his family.
Bob spent his childhood growing up in Donora. He went on to graduate from the University of Pittsburgh, with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He followed in his father’s footsteps by working 50 years at United States Steel (USX). He greatly loved his work and he had many wonderful friends that he made through his work there.
Bob will be sorely missed by his friends, and by his adoptive Cowden Family, Nancy, Dan, Paul and J.C.
