Debra Darlene Weller

Debra Darlene Weller, 71, of Washington, died Thursday, February 15, 2023, following a brief illness, in Palm Coast, Fla., while visiting family. She died peacefully surrounded by her family.

Debra was a 1969 graduate of McGuffey High School.

She was born October 28, 1951, in Washington, a daughter of Violet and Frank Bedillion.

On November 29, 1969, she married Donald Weller, Jr., who died March 19, 2022. They enjoyed 52 years of marriage.

After her marriage, Debra entered the work force at Bobby Brooks, making clothing. She would later work at the GNC in the Franklin Mall for most of her working life, 30 years. She served as the GNC retail manager.

Debbie loved her family. They enjoyed yearly trips to Myrtle Beach, the mountains of Tennessee, and the beaches of Florida. She enjoyed her retirement years with her husband, spending time at the Meadows Casino, taking cruises and visiting numerous islands. They enjoyed spending time at home with their cat, Bella and their dog, Maggie. She and her husband also enjoyed grilling on the deck with their friends, Lynn and David Dolanch, and Doreen Lassan.

Surviving are two daughters, Alicia Berry of Washington and Heather Diaz (Danny) of Palm Coast, Fla.; and a son, Donald Weller, III of Lumberton, N.C.; grandchildren, Tyler Weller and Cullen Bresselsmith of Washington, and Christian and Emma Diaz of Palm Coast, Fla.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her mother and father; and her sister, Judith (Ralph) Gregg of Washington.

All funeral arrangements are private. A Celebration of Life is planned for early summer. Debbie will be buried with her husband in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, in Bridgeville.
