Rhonda Lynn Butler
Rhonda Lynn Butler, 60, of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, February 22, 2023, in Concordia Hospice of Washington, Donnell House.
She was born March 8, 1962, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late Harold W.G. and Gloria Dudley Butler.
Rhonda was a 1980 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School. She had worked as an operating room technician for Allegheny General Hospital and was a licensed beautician.
Ms. Butler was a member of the Living Word Ministries in Pittsburgh, the Pittsburgh Choral Union, the Hickerson Singers and was a licensed Missionary in the Church of God in Christ.
Rhonda proudly served in the Army Reserve, until she was discharged for health reasons.
She enjoyed traveling, dancing, playing cards, collecting snow globes and reading her Bible.
Surviving are a son, Terance Morris (Amber Branch), of Meadow Lands; a daughter, Tatyana Lynch (Ripton), of Canonsburg; four grandchildren, Tayveus and Odyn Morris, and Elias and Amirah Branch; five brothers, Harold W.G. Butler, of Pittsburgh, Clarence and Darwin Butler, both of Canonsburg, Daryl Kelley, of Washington and William Kelley, of Strabane; six sisters, Tamara Butler Williams (Leonard) and Beatrice Butler Salat (Andy), both of Washington, Singualla Butler Odom, of Detroit, Mich., Lisa Kelley, of Upper St. Clair, Evelyn Butler, of Strabane and Nikki Breaux, of Denver, Colo.; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a brother, Troy Butler; and a sister, Candyce Butler Davis.
Friends will be received from Noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2023, in the Mount Olive Baptist Church, 120 Greenside Avenue, Canonsburg, PA 15317, where services will be held at 2 p.m. with Reverend Anita Lovell officiating.
Private interment will be in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner / Supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342.
