Gloria J. Monaco Dagnall

Gloria J. Monaco Dagnall of Cecil Township, passed away suddenly on Thursday, December 22, 2022, in St Clair Hospital, at the age of 79.

Gloria was born on June 1, 1943, in the Canonsburg hospital, the daughter of the late Henry and Santina Bongiorni Monaco, Sr.

She is survived by her husband, John A. Dagnall, Jr. “Buck”, whom she married on February 9, 1968.

Gloria was a career banker, starting at the Bridgeville National Bank, in 1961, as a keypunch operator and retired form the National City Bank, as an (AVP) assistant vice president, following 40 years of service.

She and her husband John were car enthusiasts. You seldom saw one without the other. They were members of Washington County Street Rodders and former members of Washington Cruisers. Together, they traveled up and down the East Coast, in their Washington Blue, 37 Ford.

Gloria also enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, especially Italian food. The holidays were not the holidays without something from her kitchen.

She is also survived by many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and great-great-nieces and nephews.

Deceased are six siblings and their spouses: Lydia (Jack) O’Rourke, Lillian (Louis) Pascarella, Eugene, Guzz (Kathryn) Monaco, Henry (Georgetta) Monaco, Enis (Adam) Kacerik and Raymond (Fran) Monaco. She is the last of her generation.

Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. on Monday, January 2, at the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333).
