Harold M. Boyer
Funeral services were held for Harold M. Boyer, 86, of Union Twp., Finleyville who passed away on Thursday December 29, 2022 in his home with his family by his side. Born July 12, 1936 in Broughton, a son of the late Joseph F. and Rose E. Stucin Boyer. He retired in 1991 after 35 years in coal research from the Bureau Mines Dept. of Energy in Bruceton. A lifetime member of both the Hackett Club in Finleyville and the NRA, Harold was an avid hunter, fisherman and trapper who took pride in his garden.
He is survived by his wife Wanda Riggle Boyer who he married August 30, 1958, five sons, Marvin who died July 15, 2012, Robert, Joseph, Jeffrey and James Boyer who died as an infant; and five daughters, Wanda Seraly, Laurie (Paul) MacFarlane, Rose (Gary) Hirschi, Mary (Joel) Weygandt and Brenda (Gary) Martin; 22 grandchildren; one deceased granddaughter; and 22 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ronald (Bette) Boyer. Interment was held in Jefferson Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family asks to plant a tree in Harold’s memory.
