Cecelia Warfield Toohey
Celia Warfield Toohey, 62, passed away peacefully, in her sleep, Tuesday, January 3, 2023.
She was born January 20, 1960, in Barnesville, Ohio, a daughter of the late William and Joan Ikard Warfield.
Celia graduated from Barnesville High School in 1978 and Marietta College in 1982.
She worked as an accountant and later as a math teacher.
Celia and Terry celebrated 40 years of marriage this June. She was a loving, self-sacrificial, and devoted wife.
She will be deeply missed by her three sons and daughters-in-law, to whom she was a refuge and source of godly wisdom.
As grandma, “Cece” was the source and center of many hours of imaginative play and outdoor adventures. She was ever-patient as seven little boys clamored for her attention.
Though her family’s hearts are broken, her confident trust in Jesus and reminders that “God is good” have brought peace after her sudden passing.
Surviving in addition to her husband, Terry Toohey, are three sons, Eric (Abbey) Toohey, Adam (Anne) Toohey, and Sean (Emily) Toohey; seven grandsons, Peter, David, James, JJ, Jack, Silas, and Will Toohey; two brothers, Bill (Linda) Warfield and Dan (Kathy) Warfield; along with brother- and sister-in-law, Tim and Margie Toohey; and several nieces and nephews.
Celia was predeceased by her parents; and her sister, Debbie.
Friends and family will be received from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. time of services Monday, January 9, in Beinhauer Funeral Home, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray, phone 724-941-3211. Interment will follow in Woodruff Memorial Park Cemetery.
