Gregory Clinton Amos
Gregory Clinton Amos, 74, of Washington, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2023, in his home.
He was born November 10, 1948, in West Brownsville, a son of Clinton and Ruth Elliott Amos.
Mr. Amos was a 1966 graduate of Beth Center High School and earned an associate degree from Penn Commercial.
He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Gregory was employed at Allegheny Ludlum Steel Mill and was also proud to be a coal miner in Marianna Mine #58. He was later employed as a psychiatric aide at Mayview State Hospital.
He was a member of the East Bethlehem Baptist Church and the American Legion Post #175 in Washington.
Gregory loved hunting and fishing and enjoyed watching his kids and grandkids play sports.
Surviving are three children, Julie Bundy (Rich) of Fredericktown, Gary Amos (Jessica) of Marianna, and Ashley Davis (Reginald) of Washington; eight grandchildren, Isaac, Nekoda, Nathan, Jaslyn, Salah, Parker, Kaleb and Syndee; a brother, Dave Amos (Joyce) of Crestview, Fla.; his former wife, Carolyn Sweany; several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a son, Steven Amos; and two brothers, Ronald and Richard Amos.
All services are private and under the care and direction of the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, Ltd., 2830 Main Street, Beallsville. Interment will be in Beallsville Cemetery.
