Larry G. Wiltrout
Rev. Larry G. Wiltrout, 81, of Washington, died Tuesday, January 3, 2023, in St. Clair Hospital. He was born April 27, 1941, in Wooddale, a son of the late James W. and Anna Eutsey Wiltrout.
Rev. Wiltrout was a graduate of Connellsville High School. He then graduated from California University, where he also received his Master’s Degree.
He was employed as a teacher for the Upper St. Clair School District for 35 years.
He attended the American University Seminary and served as a minister of the United Methodist Church for 49 years serving churches in Washington, Greene and Allegheny counties. He retired from active ministry due to health reasons and had his final sermon the last weekend in August 2022 at his last appointment at the Davidson United Methodist Church.
Larry was a member of Masonic Lodge #623 in Washington, a member of the Scottish Rite and the Syria Shrine.
He loved his family and grandkids more than anything and he was an avid outdoorsman.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Queer Wiltrout, with whom he would have been married to for 59 years on January 26; two sons, Alan L. Wiltrout and wife Janet of Houston, and Troy D. Wiltrout and wife Margaret of Brighton; his grandsons, R. J. Rodgers and his fiancee, Brianna, Andrew Wiltrout and his fiancee, Haleigh, and Westin Wiltrout; two brothers, Thomas Wiltrout of Dawson, and Daniel Wiltrout and wife Judy of Great Falls, Mont.; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends were received from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., the hour of service, Saturday, January 7, in the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 406 E. Washington Street, Mount Pleasant, with Dr. Drew Harvey officiating. Interment followed in Greenlick Cemetery.
