John Keith Agostinelli
John Keith Agostinelli, 66, of Waynesburg, formerly of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully, at 11:11 p.m. Monday, January 9, 2023, in UPMC Shadyside Hospital, with his family and friends by his side. He was born December 27, 1956, in Washington, a son of Ann B. Arbogast Agostinelli and the late John B. Agostinelli of Canonsburg.
John was a graduate of Canon-McMillan High School Class of 1974. He received a Bachelor of Science & Industrial Technology at PennWest California, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Product Development at West Virginia University. John received a certificate from FEMA Emergency Management Institute, and a Master Naturalist Environmental Science from the University of Florida.
He was a self-employed contractor and a master craftsman.
John enjoyed hunting and fishing, was an avid motorcyclist, gunsmith, and member of the National Rifle Association. Most of all, “Pappy” enjoyed the time with his beloved grandchildren, Robbie and Lexi “Peanut” Baker, of Waynesburg.
John spent countless hours giving back to the community and mentoring those in need. He was a beloved Pappy, friend, brother and son.
Left behind to cherish his memory, in addition to his mother and grandchildren, are his sisters, Janette Heitmeier and husband Donald of Hobe Sound, Fla., Judi Agostinelli and husband Lou Pietosi of North Strabane Township, and Denise Utz and husband Howard of Wichita, Kans.; his niece, Amanda Honsaker (Ryan); and nephews, Craig and Dylan (Brooke) Heitmeier, Michael (Keyur) and Marco (Candace) Pietosi, Robbie and Trey Utz; one great-niece and three great-nephews.
John died clean with 33 years in Narcotics Anonymous.
A private memorial will be held at the request of Mr. Agostinelli.
