Margaret Elizabeth Hall
Margaret Elizabeth Hall, 95, of Burgettstown, passed away Sunday morning January 15, 2023 in Victoria Manor, Oakdale.
She was born on July 17, 1927 a daughter of the late William and Marie Kolling Curtis.
A graduate of North Fayette High School, she worked at the 5 and 10 in McDonald and the Carolina Shoppe in Robinson before starting a family. After her children were raised she went back to work for Eat ‘n Park in Robinson.
A lover of the outdoors she enjoyed gardening and farming. She also enjoyed crafts, especially painting, sewing and crocheting.
Her husband David W. Hall Sr., who she married February 24, 1951, passed away January 30, 2005.
She is survived by her four children, Kathleen Aller and husband Clayton of Clarksville, Teresa Melvin and husband Ray of New Cumberland, W.Va., David W. Hall Jr. and wife Tina of Eldersville and Andrea Aller and husband Barry of Burgettstown; grandchildren, Jennifer Piper, Tracie Cherup, Clayton Aller, Jr., Carolyn Chipps, Richelle Kim, Jonathan Hall, Derrick Melvin, Courtney Francis, Julia Hall, Angela Cessna and Miranda Aller-Brown; several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Regis and Harry Curtis; sisters, Connie Allen and Dorothy Schoner; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to her parents and husband are two granddaughters, Desiree Aller and Britta Melvin; a great-grandson Cody Harshey and a great- granddaughter, Katalena Aller; and eight brothers and sisters.
Family and friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday January 18, in Slater Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. of Burgetstown, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, PA 15021 where services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday January 19, with Pastor Olszewski of the Hookstown Free Methodist Church officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Hickory.
