Zachary Dwight Gleason, 35, of Hickory, died tragically, after being struck by a hit and run driver, Saturday, January 14, 2023. He was born October 28, 1987, in Kennedy Township, a son of Melvin and Susan McCarrell Gleason.

Zach was a 2006 graduate of South Fayette High School, and currently worked as a tax practitioner for McCarrell’s Tax Service, Washington.

He loved being involved with his children’s sporting events and school activities. He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, especially the Steelers and Pirates.

Surviving, along with his parents, are four children, Zachary Dwight Gleason, Jr., Ronnilynn Gleason, David Gleason and Piper Gleason; a stepdaughter, Aireeona Grayson; loving companion, Sabrina Green; his maternal great-grandmother, Carol Partee; and his maternal grandmother, Gina Camp.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, January 19, in Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333), where a funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, January 20, with the Rev. Kurt Jenkins as officiant.

Interment to follow at Melrose Cemetery, South Fayette Township.
