Wesley Dale Rager Sr.
Wesley Dale Rager Sr., 90, of Brownsville, passed away at his home on Sunday, January 22, 2023.
Born in Fredericktown on January 1, 1933, he was the son of Albert Dale and Mildred Ruth Scholz Rager.
Wesley was a Korean War veteran having served with the U.S. Army. He was retired from the Kopper’s Plant, having worked in the coke division. Wesley was a member of the Centerville American Legion and the Bricklayers Union.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Dolores J. Barger Rager; two daughters, Robin Lee (Jack) Yorty, of Erie, Wendy Renee (Mark) Haywood, of Centerville; and a son, Wesley Dale (Sherri) Rager Jr., of Coal Center; six grandchildren: Brian (Joann) Yorty, Kimberly (Fernando) Melaragno, Wesley Scott Rager, Major Joshua (Audra) Rager, Melissa (Carey) Zivkovich and Sargeant David (Cheyenne) Rager; 15 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Jane Rager.
Wesley was preceded in death by his brother, Dalbert George Rager.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Melenyzer Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Inc., Roscoe.
