Joseph Carman Swan
Joseph Carman Swan, 74, of Washington, died Wednesday, January 25, 2023, in Donnell House.
He was born November 6, 1948, in Washington, a son of the late Paul and Angeline Hickman.
Mr. Swan worked for Ferro Corporation for 25 years, until his retirement.
He was an avid sports fan. His greatest joy was spending time with his granddaughters.
On July 22, 1972, he married the love of his life, Joyce Marie Wilkinson, who died July 30, 2016.
Surviving are a son, Joseph C. (Carrie) Swan II; a daughter, Nicole (Jim) Conley; a sister, Rebecca Hildebrand; four grandchildren, Jamie Conley, Carly Conley, Kadie Swan and Ellie Swan; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a brother, Samuel “Sonny” Swan; and a sister, Virginia “Sissie” Collis.
Friends and family are welcome from 12 to 3 p.m., the time of services, Tuesday, January 31, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
