Ronald S. Gombar
Ronald S. Gombar, 86, of Finleyville, died Friday, June 30, 2023, in AHN Jefferson Hospital.
He was born October 24, 1936, in Johnstown, a son of the late Stephen and Helen Jakubek Gombar.
Ronald was retired as a teacher from the Electronic Institute in Pittsburgh
He was a member of Saint Francis of Assisi Church in Finleyville, the Knights of Columbus and the Confederate Air Force.
Surviving are his wife, Lenora Cable Gombar; two sons, Randall (Sandra) Gombar of McCandless Township and Richard (late Barbara) Gombar of Winter Park, Fla.; one daughter, Lori (Kevin) Kenavey of Finleyville; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Rita (Dick) Williams; one sister-in-law, Janet Gombar; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased are his sister, Patricia Reddecliff; and brother, Raymond Gombar.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, in Kegel Funeral Home, Inc., David P. Kegel, Supervisor, 3560 Washington Avenue, Finleyville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, in Saint Francis of Assisi Church (Saint John XXIII Parish) with entombment following in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
