Richard L. Cipranic
Richard L. Cipranic, 77, of Burgettstown, Hanover Township, passed away Wednesday evening, July 12, 2023, after a brief illness.
He was born November 18, 1945, in Washington, a son of the late Louis Cipranic, Jr. and Helen Babyak Cipranic.
A 1963 graduate of Union High School in Burgettstown, he retired after 23 years from Langeloth Metallurgical Company.
He honorably served in the United States Army from September 1966 – August 1975 as a Sergeant during the Vietnam Conflict in Germany, where he met his wife.
Rick was a member of the Burgettstown Italian Club, where he played bocci, and the Atlasburg Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed going to car cruises with the Burgettstown Area Cruisers in his 1941 Plymouth, 1956 Ford and his 1980 Z28 Camero. He also enjoyed meeting his friends at T’s Locker Room.
His wife, Monika R. Stefan Cipranic, whom he married October 3, 1969, in Germany, while serving in the Army, preceded him in death August 27, 2009.
Surviving are his three children, Ricky Cipranic of Joffre, Brian Cipranic of Hanover Township, and Bianca Coble and husband Brad of Green Tree; four grandchildren, Storie, Sonny and Lilly Jo Cipranic, and Camden Coble; his sister-in-law, Marilyn Cipranic of Burgettstown; niece, Andrea Donatucci and husband Frank; and his great- nieces, Gabriella and Gianna Donatucci.
Deceased, in addition to his parents and wife, are his twin brother, Gerald Cipranic; and a nephew, Brian Cipranic.
Family and friends will be received from 12 to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 16, in Slater Funeral & Cremation Services of Burgettstown, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, PA 15021, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 17. He will be laid to rest, with full military honors, beside his wife in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Burgettstown.
