Joseph H. Frederick
Joseph H. Frederick, of Clover Hill, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2023 in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.
He was born September 10, 1945 in North Charleroi, the son of the late George W. and Amanda Deems Frederick.
Joseph was a 1963 graduate of California High School.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army for six years as a sharpshooter. For his service he was awarded the Sharpshooter M-14 Rifle Medal. .
Mr. Frederick was employed as a heavy equipment operator for 40 years. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local Heavy Highway #66. He was also a lifelong farmer and Ham Radio Operator.
Joseph enjoyed watching Jeopardy and playing Words with Friends with his cousin, Darla Ames Malys.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, the love of his life, Diane Dudeck Frederick; two children, Joe Frederick (Janet) of Clover Hill, and Dannielle Bennett (Tuffy) of Ontario Village; three grandchildren, Amanda Hillen (James) of Clover Hill, Heather Frederick (Jake Garrett) of Clover Hill, and Brittany Cursi (Michael) of Bentleyville; his two canine companions, Ellie and Cody; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased are three siblings, Robert and Eugene Frederick, and Dorothy Ball.
All services were held privately and under the direction of the Greenlee’s Bentleyville Funeral Home, with Pastor George Lammay officiating. Interment was in Beallsville Cemetery. Military Rites were accorded by American Legion Post # 175 Washington.
