Christine Barnhart, 78, of Cecil, died Friday, July 21, 2023, in McMurray Hills Manor.

She was born June 8, 1945, in Jersey City, N.J., a daughter of the late Clarence and Clare Lindquist.

Christine attended The University of Pittsburgh and graduated from Point Park University while working for Washington County. She retired from her position with Aging Services in 2022.

She was a member of Venice Presbyterian Church and South Canonsburg Church. She was involved in several prayer groups. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her grand and great- grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband, Ray Barnhart of Cecil; daughter, Laurie Ann (Joseph) Slovik of Cecil; granddaughter, Alayna (Ben) Koslow of Brookline; grandson, Tyler Slovik of Cecil; great-grandchildren, Nora and Theo Koslow; a brother, Craig Lindquist of Bayonne, N.J.; a sister, JoAnn Lindquist of Delta, Colo.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7 p.m., the time of a funeral service, Friday, July 28, in the Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Road, Cecil, PA 15321, with Pastor Steve Parkhill officiating the service.

A private inurnment will be in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Venice Presbyterian Church or South Canonsburg Church.
