Anna Billante Dunlap died peacefully Thursday, July 20, 2023. She was a daughter of the late Nunzio and Rosalia Billante, born December 25, 1941, in Pittsburgh, and raised in The Strip District in a large Italian family.

Anna married the love of her life, her late husband, Edward B. Dunlap, Jr., September 5, 1970, at LeMont Restaurant and in 1999, the couple purchased LeMont. She enjoyed decorating the restaurant, designing the Christmas decorations and socializing with LeMont customers at regular Saturday night dinners with her husband and her sister, Josie Kuhn.

Anna was a member of St. Louise de Marillac Catholic Church, Upper St. Clair.

Anna’s family meant everything to her. She was a kind, generous and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. Anna was a wonderful cook, an excellent hostess and enjoyed preparing Sunday dinners for her large family. She loved listening to Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli, dancing and movie dates with her husband, reading lots of books and shopping.

Anna had a childlike love of Christmas, which was also her birthday. She loved celebrating the holidays, decorating, sending cards and giving gifts to family, friends and the associates of CentiMark, LeMont and other Dunlap Family businesses.

She continued the Dunlap Family philanthropy after her husband’s death in the Pittsburgh community and throughout North America. The Dunlap Family is proud of their legacy donations to The Dunlap Family Outpatient Center at St. Clair Health, Pittsburgh, and the future Dunlap Family Athletic & Recreation Center, St. Vincent’s College, Latrobe.

Surviving include Anna’s sister, Josephine Kuhn; brother, Tom (Olivia) Billante; sister-in-law, Marianne Billante; children, Timothy M. (Teri) Dunlap, Maureen Hallas, Kathleen Dunlap and Stephen “Beaver” (Tracy) Dunlap; nine grandchildren, Jeffrey (Diana) Hallas, Erica (Brian) Hise, Kimberly (Josh) Pisarcik, Emily Kerns, Timothy Dunlap, Philip Kerns (Bridget Walsh), Ashlee Dunlap, Stevie Dunlap and Rachel Dunlap; nine great- grandchildren, Cody, Savannah, Jackson, Cameron, Lily, Liam, Mason, Harlan and Tillie; in-laws, Patrick (Patricia) Dunlap Sr., Virginia (David) Curry and Eileen (Jeffrey) Staats; uncle, Tom (Jo-Ann) Counihan; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She leaves behind her favorite companions, Princess and Princi.
