Agnes Margaret Jackson

Agnes Margaret “Bunny” Jackson passed away peacefully, at the age of 80, after years of dementia, Friday, November 11, 2022, surrounded by her children and Vitas Hospice at Superior Residences of Lecanto, Fla. She was born June 12, 1942, in Slovan, to Quentin “Queenie” Capozzoli and Helen Lilly.

She lived in Burgettstown until she married Jim Hampton and moved to Clinton, Md.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Quentin “LuLu” Capozzoli; and her second husband, Thurman “Tommy” Jackson.

She is survived by her brothers, Art (Annette) Capozolli of McDonald, and George (Christine) Capozzoli of Edinboro; her sisters, Sylvia McGaughey of Leetsdale, Jeanne Capozzoli of Houston, Texas, and Carol Watton of Burgettstown; her children, Karen (Kevin) Fisher of Inverness, Fla., and Jim Hampton, Jr. of Adamstown, Md.; her grandchildren, Allie Fisher, Bryan Fisher, Jimmy Hampton III and Tori Hampton; many nieces and nephews; her best friend, Norma Shaffer; and her fiance, Bob Biggs of Hernando, Fla.

She retired from the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, DC and moved to Florida in 2004. She loved bowling, watching football and NASCAR, and spending time with her grandchildren.

There will be a celebration of life at 5 p.m. Friday, June 9, in the Campbell’s Run Holiday Inn in Pittsburgh, followed by interment of her cremains at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 10, in Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton, Md.
