Patricia Barnes Vincent

Patricia “Pat” Barnes Vincent, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2023, was born on November 8, 1955, and raised in Rices Landing, Pennsylvania. Following high school Pat earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from West Virginia University and a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Pat was a gifted musician and singer, voracious reader, swimmer and cyclist, and skilled fisherperson. Pat infused those around her with joy, laughter and a wicked sense of humor. She was ever kind, generous, and consistently thoughtful. Her decades of work in occupational health demonstrated her strong belief in helping those who needed it most. After she was diagnosed with cancer in 2019, Pat worked with the incomparable team at Fred Hutch Cancer Center in Seattle, Wash. She navigated her treatments with grace, strength, and tenacity.

She is survived by her husband and lifelong partner, Bob; son, Collin Vincent of Seattle, Wash.; daughter, Faye Moore of Stanwood, Wash.; sister, Susan Barnes of Rices Landing, and brother William Barnes of Moor Park, Calif,. Most importantly, she was “Nana” to four loving grandchildren, Hannah (6), Cole (4), Lucille (4), and Natalie (4 mos).

Pat passed peacefully at home in Stanwood, Wash, surrounded by her family.

A celebration of Pat’s life will be held on June 24, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the Puyallup United Methodist Church in Puyallup Wash.
